Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of GroundTruth OS ("the Service"), operated by GroundTruth OS ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Description

GroundTruth OS is a knowledge distillation platform that:

  • Ingests founder documents and business content
  • Extracts and organises canonical business knowledge using AI
  • Maintains a structured knowledge base of canonical documents
  • Compiles knowledge into AI agent system prompts
  • Provides API, CLI, and MCP interfaces for programmatic access

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including API keys
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access
  • One person or entity per account; accounts cannot be shared

4. Data Ownership

  • Your content: You retain all ownership rights to content you upload, paste, or import into the Service ("Your Content")
  • Canonical output: The structured knowledge base generated from Your Content is also yours
  • License to us: You grant us a limited license to process, store, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service
  • No training: We do not use Your Content to train AI models

5. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its design, code, and documentation, is our intellectual property
  • Agent system prompts compiled from your knowledge base are your intellectual property
  • You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service

6. API and Programmatic Access

  • API keys are issued per workspace and must be kept confidential
  • You are responsible for all activity under your API keys
  • We may rate-limit or suspend API access to protect service integrity
  • MCP (Model Context Protocol) access is subject to these same terms

7. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including:

  • Stytch for authentication
  • Google Gemini for AI processing
  • Google Drive for document import
  • PostHog for product analytics

Your use of these integrations is also subject to their respective terms of service.

8. Service Level

  • We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice
  • Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

10. Termination

  • You may terminate your account at any time
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy
  • Upon termination, you may export your data for a reasonable period
  • We will delete your data within 30 days of account closure, unless legally required to retain it

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GroundTruth OS operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
